All of YAMADA DENKI’s Directly-managed Stores

– YAMADA DENKI collaborates with ENCORED JAPAN to propose safer and more prosperous lifestyle through electricity-saving advice and monitoring of daily life and homes –

 

YAMADA DENKI CO., LTD. (headquartered in Takasaki-shi, Gunma; Representative Director and President: Tsuneo Mishima; hereinafter “YAMADA DENKI”) will launch the home IoT service “Yamada Smart Home” at all of its directly managed stores on April 11, 2019, in cooperation with ENCORED JAPAN Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Akihiko Nakano; hereinafter “ENCORED”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Ken Miyauchi; hereinafter “SoftBank”).

 

“Yamada Smart Home” is a service that utilizes the energy loT platform “ENERTALK” provided by ENCORED. By installing “ENERTALK” to a distribution board in the home, energy data can be obtained every second through “ENERTALK”, making it possible to measure electricity consumption in the home in real time. In addition, customers can check the amount of electric power consumption and confirm electricity-saving advice for the electric power consumption targets they have set on their smartphones using the “ENERTALK” app. In addition to providing “ENERTALK”, “Yamada Smart Home” will also link with “ENERTALK Touch”, a multi-sensor that measures temperature, humidity, lighting and acceleration, with “Smart Home Appliance Remote Control” to remotely operate home appliances. The system detects the opening and closing of doors and changes in temperature and humidity, and notifies customers of family members returning home and any abnormalities in the home, enabling them to use the system as Monitoring Service for children and the elderly at home and to operate home appliances on the go using their smartphones.

 

With the aim of increasing the number of customers using “Yamada Smart Home”, SoftBank provides special offer for customers who apply for “SoftBank Hikari” or other SoftBank Internet connection services and “Yamada Smart Home” at the same time.

Furthermore, YAMADA HOMES CO., LTD. (headquartered in Takasaki -shi, Gunma; Representative Director and President: Fumihiko Masuda), a member of the YAMADA DENKI Group, building and selling detached houses and remodeling homes, also plans to sell “Yamada Smart Home” with the aim of providing safe and secure housing using loT in an aging society with fewer children.

1. Visualizing electric power consumption and advice on electricity saving
Waveforms of energy data per second obtained by ENERTALK, which is attached to a distribution board in the home, are analyzed by unique artificial intelligence (AI) to estimate the amount of electric power consumption by major home appliances based on the overall electric power consumption, as well as to predict lifestyle patterns and provide effective electricity-saving advice. Customers can check the advice and real-time electric power consumption on the smartphone app, which helps them to save money on a daily basis.

2. Monitoring inside the house with multi-sensor
“ENERTALK Touch”, a multi-sensor that measures temperature, humidity, lighting and acceleration, is installed in the home, and notifies the “ENERTALK” app when a family member returns home or if there is anything unusual in the home. The system can be used as Monitoring Service for children and the elderly because it allows the user to grasp what is going on in the home while they are out.

3. Remote home appliance control
By linking “Smart Home Appliance Remote Control” with “ENERTALK”, home appliances can be operated remotely with the “ENERTALK” app. Real-time energy data can be checked on the app to ensure that the home appliances are turned on/off.

4. Home safety support
When an abnormality is detected in the home, our professional staff who is requested by a customer will rush to the home 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to check the intercom, lighting and other peripherals to see if a family member is home*1 or if a suspicious person has entered the home. In addition, when “water trouble,” “lock trouble,” and “glass trouble” occur, we will rush to your home and fix the trouble free of traveling fee and working fee*2.
*1: Security, medical, nursing, or long-term care services are not included.
*2: Depending on the work contents, there may be a charge for parts, special work, or extended work hours.

5. Housing safety support
IEMAMORI HOLDINGS CO., LTD. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Koichi Okada), a member of the YAMADA DENKI Group, will support your housing safety with home maintenance (sterilization, deodorization, mold prevention, termite extermination, etc.) and “IemaMALL Plus”, a housing and lifestyle support service (house cleaning, purchase of unwanted items, etc.).
